Dear Volunteers,

Wow, wow, wow—Musikfest 2025 was one for the record books. We smashed previous records left and right: overall attendance, most tickets sold for Steel Stage shows, and while final numbers aren’t in yet, there is no way we didn’t make a splash with some best-ever food and beverage days as well. Twenty years from now, we will ask each other: “remember that Musikfest?”

None of it is possible without you. Every beer poured, every ticket scanned, every bottle of soda crossing a table, each strange question answered at the info booth, every drum kit packed up for the night, each bag of dripping trash changed, each item of merch and glass art sold, every box of mugs run out to edges of the festival, every craft completed by kids, each Member welcomed into a lounge, every guest guided to their seat added up to a masterpiece Musikfest. While your task on a shift may feel small, it has ripple effects that connect to everything and everyone else around it. Musikfest simply doesn’t happen if you aren’t there to help with that one specific thing.

I say it often: I grew up loving Musikfest and wanting to experience more of it. It is always a privilege to work alongside the folks who built it into what it is today. As I sit at the end of what could be the best Musikfest on record, I am humbled to have played a meager part in it. I never would have been able to do it if not for your training, sharing of experiences, and welcoming nature.

Sleep well, make sure you finish any leftover gyros before they go bad in the fridge, and we will see you out there for what’s next!

Community Service Hours

Many of you completed shifts for community service hours. Please give us until September 1st to enter all hours into the system. Starting September 1st, we will approve Helper Helper requests for BASD students and can sign forms for others via email or appointment at the ArtsQuest Center.

What’s Next?

Oktoberfest: if you enjoyed pouring beer during Musikfest—we’ll have many more kegs to empty in less than two months! Oktoberfest is returning to SteelStacks during the first two weekends of October, and we’ll need as many tappers, Retail Assistants, and Member Lounge helpers as we can get!

Unlike Musikfest, no application required. As long as you have an approved portal account and match the qualifications, you’ll be able to sign up right on the Opportunities page

Oktoberfest 2025 shifts will go live on Thursday, August 21st at 4pm.

Levitt Pavilion: Our 2025 Levitt Pavilion season officially restarts this Friday, 8/15! We still need plenty of help setting up tables, answering guest questions, and passing the iconic green buckets. You can sign up for open shifts in the portal

Even though the tents are down and folded up, never let the music fade into silence! Let it fill your heart and stay with you as you share it with the world.

Thank you for everything,
