Student Volunteer Spotlight

Inspired by the students in our community, The Volunteer Committee decided to feature: Students in the Spotlight! Olivia caught the eye of the committee for her continuous support and hard work done at many Arts Quest events throughout the year. We are so thankful to Olivia for her continued work done to make these events happen!

Congratulations Olivia!

Q: Tell your fellow volunteers a little about yourself:
A:  Hi! I’m Olivia. I go to Freedom High School and I graduate in 2023. My dad and two brothers attended Freedom as well!

Q:What is something your fellow volunteers would be surprised to learn about you?
A: : I have a pet snake and he is my “emotional support animal.”

Q:What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not in school or volunteering?
A: I like to play video games and talk with some friends.

Q: Who do you look up to and why?
A: I look up to Steve Irwin, because he was great at teaching people about animals, and I always used to watch him before school when I was little.

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: I haven’t quite figured out exactly what my career choice will be except that it will involve animals. I’m indecisive. Zoology, herpetology which is the study of reptiles, or maybe animal genetics.

Q: If you could pick any act to play on the main stage at MusikFest, who would you pick and why?
A: I would pick Billy Joel. His song “Allentown” would fight perfectly on that stage and he has many good songs.

Q: What is your favorite ArtsQuest event to volunteer at and why?
A: I’ve only done Christkindlmarkt and the movie attendant. I have to go with Christkindlmarkt. I chose the Crayola Craft Assistant. I enjoyed working with the kids. I absolutely will be volunteering again even though I am graduating this year.
