“Each year ArtsQuest offers hundreds of free arts education programs to over 5,000 youth in our community. Students in grades K-12 participate in residencies with world-renowned artists, masterclasses with performers, poetry and writing workshops, healing arts programs and even have the opportunity to book bands at Musikfest,” Lisa Harms, Senior Director of Visual Arts and Education at ArtsQuest said. “ArtsQuest is uniquely positioned to provide students with meaningful experiences with the thousands of artists and performers who work with us each year. Our hope is that through these experiences, students will be inspired to be actively involved in the arts in their community and will see the value of creative expression in all its forms.”

Additionally, the Americans for the Arts and the Arts Action Fund will be celebrating the value of the arts in education through a webinar on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 3-4 p.m., EST. This free webinar is part of our “Year-Round Arts Advocacy” educational opportunities to learn about federal, state and local arts education policies. Register for the webinar here!
