June Update

The summer season is in full swing, and we’ve been doing an amazing job at Levitt Pavilion shows and beyond! There’s never been a better time to hop on board and get involved. As we look ahead to July, we’ll be tackling TacoFest, Blast Furnace Blues, and then of course—Musikfest set up.

Sabor! was a big hit in June, and each night had a great crew of Levitt volunteers on the lawn. That same weekend we hosted our first-ever Upper Mac Community Day in Grange Park, and while the weather was wonky the spirit of the event will grow into something even better next year. If you were one of the volunteers who came out to help, thank you so much! Upper Macungie residents are seeing the great work you do and are starting to ask about how they can join the fun.

If you have not yet signed up for Musikfest training in the portal, please do so soon! You’ll be able to read presentations and materials after the fact, but getting your shirts and handbooks ahead of time is always best practice. If you’ve applied for Musikfest shifts and don’t have a schedule yet, know that we’re working all throughout the day to make sure that we get you scheduled as soon as possible.

I’m so grateful to announce that we have a new Volunteer Program Assistant: Kaitlyn DeRemer! She grew up in Bethlehem and is very familiar with how much fun Musikfest can be. She’ll now get to experience it behind the scenes with all of you wonderful Musikfest experts!

You know what time of year it is. The Big One is right around the corner, and the 40th year is sure to be a huge party! You don’t want to miss this, so if you haven’t applied for Musikfest yet be sure to do it now.

Thank you for everything that you do,

Cory Stevens
Volunteer Program Manager
