Intro to Crochet is a three week course designed to introduce beginners to the basics of crochet. This includes learning how to chain, single crochet, double crochet, and a handful of other intro level techniques. Throughout the three week course, participants can create a wearable in the form of a beanie hat or bandana.

Hi! My name is Emily and I work as an art teacher in the Lehigh Valley. I’ve been with ArtsQuest since 2019 when I worked as a summer camp assistant! Since then, I’ve transitioned to a summer camp teacher leading classes such as watercolor, and intro to crochet! I love exploring all different kinds of art mediums but have found a lot of joy in functional and wearable art in recent years. I love pottery, printmaking, watercolor, and crochet! I've also worked with students from ages 4 years old up to 18! Being an artist and a teacher is something I take a lot of pride in.

The Artist Garages at 520 Hamilton-Bay 1 is located at 520 Hamilton St in Allentown. While the address is for Hamilton St, the Artist Garages are accessed via Maple St. near the intersection with Bayard Rustin Way. (It is directly across the street from the Bradbury Sullivan LGBT Community Center.)
