4 Week Class

Tuesdays, October 7-28 | 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

This is a 4 week class where students paint a portrait of their pet on canvas. This is a guided session with the instructor working with each student from their own 8 X 10 portrait of their individual pet. The grid method of drawing will be taught to put the initial sketch onto the canvas. Students will have a precise drawing of their loved ones. This can be either done in gouache or acrylic, per the student's comfort and experience levels. All students will complete a keepsake of their beloved pet. This will be a fun and interactive experience.

I have a Bachelor of Art degree from Rutgers University in Illustration with a minor in Piano Performance,. I have been an art teacher at the Fowler center of the Northampton Community college for the past 3 years, a teacher at the Banana Factor for the last year and am currently also teaching classes at the Forks Art Association . I have taught drawing, painting Exotic animals, painting seascapes, floral painting and abstract art. In 2024 I taught at the East Hills Middle School with 6th-8th graders for abstract art. I enjoy all mediums and I love to teach.
