Saturday, October 4 | 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Conjure up spooky vibes with this felt ornament workshop! We will create a whimsically spooky ornament featuring a witch's cauldron, and it wouldn’t be spooky without the freak’n bats! We will go over basic embroidery/sewing skills, adding on bead work embellishments, and the blanket stitch to finish up the piece. Students with basic sewing and embroidery skills, as well as beginners, are welcome to this workshop!

Nicole Gencarelli is an arts administrator and artist based in the Lehigh Valley. Her artistic background is in painting, fiber arts, printmaking, mixed media, and art history. She has an ongoing fiber series of animal skeleton embroideries, which are inspired by her childhood fondness for natural history and natural curiosities. Her work has been exhibited locally and regionally since 2010.

The Artist Garages at 520 Hamilton-Bay 1 is located at 520 Hamilton St in Allentown. While the address is for Hamilton St, the Artist Garages are accessed via Maple St. near the intersection with Bayard Rustin Way. (It is directly across the street from the Bradbury Sullivan LGBT Community Center.)
