1 Day Workshop

Friday, September 5 | 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Experience the beautiful colors of autumn foliage with this watercolor and ink workshop! Basic watercolor and inking techniques (including color mixing and shading) will be demonstrated and explained as students create their own unique autumn leaf paintings and illustrations. Students will leave with a better understanding and confidence working in ink and watercolors, along with a handmade piece of art to be displayed all season long. This workshop comes with a drink voucher for one glass of house wine, draft beer, or soft drink redeemable at the Palette and Pour Bar on the 1st floor of the ArtsQuest Center.

Rachel is a watercolor and embroidery artist living in the Lehigh Valley. She received her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in studio art from West Chester University. She uses both watercolor and embroidery in unconventional ways, focusing on pushing the limits of each medium. Over the last few years, she was involved in a variety of shows and exhibitions throughout the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia, including the Lehigh Valley Punk Rock Flea Market, Virtual Feminist Flea Market in Philadelphia, Ex Libris Compendium at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, and Lehigh Valley Wicked Oddities Flea Market and Art in the Park in Allentown.
