December Volunteer Spotlight 2022

Each month, our volunteer committee decides on volunteers to spotlight. For December 2022, we wanted to recognize a volunteer who joined us during Christkindlmarkt last year and has become a familiar face at Levitt, MusikFest, and Oktoberfest: Wendy Mingora! 

Q: What inspired you to begin volunteering?
A: My parents were volunteers in their church and I would join them growing up. I volunteered at Musikfest as a teenager. I enjoy being around people and helping the community. Recently I was at a show at the Musikfest Café which inspired me to sign up with ArtsQuest.

Q: What is something your fellow volunteers would be surprised to learn about you?
A: I love JEEPS and my family loves to “duck” fellow Jeepers.

Q: What is your favorite part of volunteering at ArtsQuest?
A: My favorite part of getting involved with ArtsQuest is that I get to be actively involved in my community and get to show my daughter the joys of volunteering, including meeting the other volunteers and helping the patrons at the events. My favorite place to volunteer this year was the retail store at Musikfest. I enjoyed the busyness of the event.

Q:What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not volunteering?
A: You can find me at the casino……I like to play slots.

Q: If you could pick any act to play on the main stage at MusikFest, who would you pick and why?
A: : Walker Hayes is my favorite this year. I enjoy seeing the time he spends with his family through their Tik Toks. My favorite song is “Fancy Like.”
