ArtsQuest and ‘Marketing Musikfest’ High School Classes to Announce Bands Performing at Musikfest 2023

Partnership with the Bethlehem Area School District prepares students in the fields of arts programming, business, marketing and communications

Bethlehem, PA, May 8, 2023 – ArtsQuest, along with students from ‘Marketing Musikfest’ classes held at both Freedom and Liberty High Schools, are excited to announce their selections of bands that will perform on Saturday, August 5 at T-Mobile Plaza Tropical during this year’s Musikfest.

A press event will be held on Wednesday, May 10 at noon at the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at ArtsQuest at SteelStacks.

Additionally, Freedom students will announce the winner of F.A.M.E. (Freedom’s Amazing Musicians and Entertainers) a contest held each year. The winning band will perform during the press event as well as during Musikfest.

“Each year, I am so excited to work with students in the Marketing Musikfest classes,” commented Patrick Brogan, Chief Programming Officer at ArtsQuest. “These kids start off the year knowing very little about the process and work that goes into booking bands, including negotiating contracts and the behind-the-scenes marketing that is involved. They see it come full circle and are excited for the end result. This partnership with the BASD is phenomenal for teaching students another facet of the arts and furthering possible career aspirations. It gives students a taste of what ArtsQuest does, all year round, in an educational, impactful manner.”

Speakers may include Superintendent of the Bethlehem Area School District Jack Silva, teachers from both classes, Chief Programming Officer Patrick Brogan and additional ArtsQuest staff and invitees.
