April Volunteer Spotlight 2023

Each month, our volunteer committee decides on volunteers to spotlight. For April 2023, the volunteer committee selected Carol and Bill Stumpf! These volunteers give their time consistently throughout the year, in addition to lots of hours put in at Christkindlmarkt. We are grateful to them for their time and efforts and are so happy to feature them in this month’s spotlight!

Q: What inspired you to begin volunteering?
A:  We wanted to volunteer to give back to the community. We also find it important to keep in touch with the city we’ve grown up in.

Q: What is something your fellow volunteers would be surprised to learn about you?    
A: : We are avid concert goers and we are typically spoiled when it comes to front row seats, especially for Boys II Men. We have crossed state lines to many different venues in order to see our favorites!

    

Q:Do you volunteer anywhere else besides ArtsQuest?
A: We have volunteered for Celtic Classic, organized by Celtic Cultural Alliance. We have volunteered for over 10 consecutive years.

Q:What is your favorite part of volunteering at ArtsQuest?
A: Our favorite part of volunteering at ArtsQuest is networking with fellow volunteers as well as having the opportunity to meet new people. Not only do we constantly interact with new people, it is also always a joy to see familiar faces to!

Q:What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not volunteering?
A: We love travelling to Florida to relax. We also enjoy going to Disney World. Our annual passes get plenty of use!

Q:Other than Musikfest, what is your favorite Lehigh Valley event?
A: We love to attend the free concerts at the Levitt Pavilion on the weekends all summer long.

Q: If you could pick any act to play on the main stage at MusikFest, who would you pick and why?  
A: Honestly we would love to see Destiny’s Child reunite for an epic come back. The 2018 Super Bowl just wasn’t enough for us.

 

Q: What is your favorite ArtsQuest event to volunteer at and why?
A: Our favorite is Christkindlmarkt by a longshot. We love the holiday season and always enjoy looking at all the crafts.
