In this super fun class for all ages, students will learn the basics of drawing anime and popular cartoons as they gain the basics of character design, guidelines, form, proportion, color, and contrast.

In this 3 week class students will learn the basics to relief printing, from getting an image on your block to carving techniques, coloring mixing and ink choices. Students will using easy to carve blocks, perfect for beginners! Block printing is the oldest form of printmaking, and is an enduring way to make bold, graphic illustrations. Linoleum/ easy carve blocks makes this process an affordable and approachable medium. Students will leave with a small edition of prints, and the skills to work on their own at home.

Discover the art of pottery in this hands-on introduction to wheel throwing. Designed specifically for adults with little to no experience, this class provides a supportive environment where you'll learn and build the foundational techniques of creating functional ceramic pieces on the potter’s wheel. Throughout the course, students will be guided step-by-step through the steps of wheel throwing, including proper clay preparation, centering, opening, pulling walls, and shaping forms such as cups, bowls, and cylinders. You'll also be introduced to basic trimming and surface treatment techniques to refine and craft a thrown form start to finish. No prior experience is necessary. Your instructor will provide individualized guidance to help you build confidence and develop your skills at your own pace. While wheel throwing can be challenging at first, patience and practice make the process both rewarding and one to remember. All tools, equipment, and clay are provided. Depending on the class format, students may also have the opportunity to glaze and fire selected pieces, creating finished, functional works. Whether you're looking to explore a new creative hobby, reduce stress through hands-on art making, or simply experience the act of creating something with your own hands, this introductory class offers the perfect place to begin your pottery journey. This free community art studio is a welcoming place to talk, make art and build community.

In this 6-week beginner friendly class, students will learn the basic techniques to handbuilding with clay. Students will also learn basic glazing techniques during the last class to finish the work they've made.

This 5 week class is a great introduction to throwing on the wheel, and is designed for students with little to no prior clay experience. Class will review throwing techniques, trimming, surface design, and glazing.

This class is designed for novice to intermediate level illustration artists. Whether you're a beginner who's dabbled in stick figures, or a practiced artist who is interested in picking up a new medium, both are welcome!

This exciting FREE program is part of a partnership between ArtsQuest and The Bethlehem Area Public Library. Join us as we look, listen, sing, and have fun with picture books in the all new ArtsQuest Creative Factory powered by PPL. Led by Bethlehem Area Public Library librarians and ArtsQuest staff members, we will celebrate pictures books with a different art theme each week. Toddler Storytime runs from September through the beginning of June, every Thursday at 10-10:30 a.m., with a Bilingual/Spanish Toddler Storytime every second Thursday of the month.

In this one-day workshop students will be guided through the steps to make and decorate their own ceramic mug. Students will have the option to use underglaze during class, or to pre-select one glaze color for thier finished mug.

This 6 week studio course introduces learners to a range of drawing and painting materials through guided, hands-on projects. Participants will develop foundational skills in observation, color, light, shadow, and material processes while exploring pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media techniques in a supportive and engaging environment.

In this introductory course, students will become familiar with every major power tool in the workshop including table saw, miter saw, sanders (edge, spindle, and drum), brad nailers, jointer and planer while building your very own bird house.

In this workshop students will learn the basics of watercolor and inking, including simple techniques and color mixing to create an autumn inspired piece of art that you can enjoy throughout the season.
