Adobe Illustrator and logo/monogram design will review basic foundation of Illustrator tools with attendees creating their own monogram-inspired logotype. Two and three-letter formats will be explored, creating both black/white and color versions. A great workshop for craft hobbyists, personal stationary or business concepts. Attendees will also gain knowledge of the brainstorm process via thumbnail sketching to enhance originality and creativity in their ideation process.

FABLEink: Write and Create: Poetry Zines (Session B)

FABLE (Fiction, Arts, Books, Literature, Education) ink is a gathering of poets, writers, and book lovers who all have a common goal: to write and become better artists. This specific lesson is on poetry zines. Zines are small DIY booklets that can be made digitally, with DIY collage, and other types of materials. In this weekend intensive, we will create Poetry Zines and show them off. In this workshop, you’ll learn the history and background on zines, DIY publishing, and distribution (zine fairs, trading zines, etc.) and then we’ll make our own and have a mini zine showcase and trading session.
