This class will serve as an introduction to oil painting, offering an approachable and confidence building workshop in becoming familiar and experienced painting with oil paint.

FABLE (Fiction, Arts, Books, Literature, Education) ink is a gathering of poets, writers, and book lovers who all have a common goal: to write and become better artists. This specific lesson is on poetry zines. Zines are small DIY booklets that can be made digitally, with DIY collage, and other types of materials. In this weekend intensive, we will create Poetry Zines and show them off. In this workshop, you'll learn the history and background on zines, DIY publishing, and distribution (zine fairs, trading zines, etc.) and then we'll make our own and have a mini zine showcase and trading session.

In this workshop students will learn the basics of watercolor and inking, including simple techniques and color mixing to create an autumn inspired piece of art that you can enjoy throughout the season.
