Today is officially the first day of Musikfest 2026, and there are so many great free stage acts to check out. Here’s who I plan to keep an eye on for the day:
Twisted Rhythm
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Main Street
If you find yourself wandering Main Street and want something unique that might stop you in your tracks, Twisted Rhythm is worth checking out. They’re a breakdancing and comedy act from Florida, so expect a high-energy performance and lots of laughter. Twisted Rhythm is a great act to catch if you want a break from standing by stages and just want to be entertained.
Payton Renee
7:00 PM – 7:45 PM
Lyrikplatz at Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas
Payton Renee is a singer and songwriter from the Lehigh Valley who combines rock, country, and alternative genres while bringing an upbeat, easygoing energy to the stage. If you’re looking for a feel-good set where you can relax, sing along, and enjoy the moment, she’s worth checking out.

The Groove Merchants
7:30 PM – 9:00 PM
PNC Stadtplatz
The Groove Merchants stood out to me because they’re one of the biggest bands in this year’s lineup. They blend blues, R&B, and soul while focusing on bringing a big, energetic sound to the stage. If you want something soulful, this is the set to add to your schedule.
