Today marks Musikfest’s last day, and I lined up a few interesting acts to close things out with. Here’s my final round of picks:

Polaroid Fade
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America Zinzenplatz
Polaroid Fade only started performing together a little over a year ago in New Jersey, but their sound already feels fully formed, a mix of old-school new wave and current alt rock tied together by compelling vocals. One reviewer even compared them to ’80s Glasgow.
Listen to their song “Bliss” below:
Lyza Bea
4:00 PM – 4:45 PM
Lyrikplatz at Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas
Lyza Bea is only 19 and already studying music business with a minor in audio engineering, and her songwriting doesn’t stick to one genre, which is exactly the kind of unpredictable set that keeps you on your toes. Expect something ethereal and a lot more raw than your typical singer/songwriter set.
Watch her performance of “The Last Song” at Musikfest last summer below:

After August
6:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Yuengling Lagerplatz
Lastly, After August is a Bethlehem duo who met in high school and bonded over one big concert, and now they blend bluegrass and folk into something that’s part covers, part originals, and part spontaneity. Catching their set would be a laid-back way to close out the whole festival.
