Today marks the halfway point of Musikfest! Check out some of the alternative, indie, and rock artists I’ve highlighted below:

Jenny Founds
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Main Street
5:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Yuengling Lagerplatz
Jenny Founds started playing jazz clubs with her mom at age five, later toured internationally alongside members of Guns N’ Roses and Jane’s Addiction, and now spends her time leading her own band, Ruby Dear, as well as touring with a Talking Heads tribute act. She’s also working on a solo album right now, so this is the perfect chance to catch one of her solo performances.
Lone Tree
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America Zinzenplatz
Lone Tree started in Nairobi and is now based in Nashville, which already which already caught my attention. Their sound mixes blues, psychedelic tones, and global influences into something that’s unique to the entire free stage lineup. The band is formed by a sibling duo, and they’ve played 150+ shows across four countries, so they clearly know how to put on a show.

Easy Honey
7:30 PM – 9:00 PM
PNC Stadtplatz
Easy Honey came together over a cooler of freshman year punch at college, which is a pretty perfect origin story for a band that mixes folk singer-songwriter tones with surf rock. Their new EP was actually written and recorded in an isolated cabin in Colorado, so I’m curious to see how that will show up live.
Listen to their song “Anything but You” below:
Attack Dog
8:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Main Street
Attack Dog is the closer I’m most excited about tonight. This is a Philly punk-leaning rock band that’s been playing in basements, bars, and lots of DIY venues, and their live shows have a reputation for being loud and a little unhinged. If you want a set with a lot of energy to end your night on, this is it.
