Natalie’s Daily Musikfest Picks - August 1

After a great first day of Musikfest, today’s lineup has plenty more artists worth checking out. Here are some more free stage acts that caught my attention:

AnthonyWinters

Anthony Winters

 1:00 PM – 1:40 PM
Plaza Tropical

Anthony Winters is a pop artist from Philly who’s gained millions of streams. He even has experience opening for acts like Drake Bell and Sammy Adams. If you’re into pop with a catchy radio feel, heavily influenced by The Weeknd and Bruno Mars, this is the perfect afternoon set.

Flavorless Gum

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America Zinzenplatz

Flavorless Gum is an indie rock band from Philly that takes a DIY approach to everything they do, from recording their music to designing their own merch. Their songs explore heartbreak, everyday life, and the world around them, making them a great pick if you’re into thoughtful, guitar-driven indie rock.

AlyshaBrilla

Alysha Brilla

Alysha Brilla blends pop, R&B, soul, and global influences into a sound that’s unique from everyone else on the lineup. Inspired by her Indo-Tanzanian roots, her music includes layered percussion, rhythmic guitar, and powerful vocals. If you’re looking to discover something a little different at Musikfest, she’s worth checking out.

Code 201 would be the perfect pick to close out the night if you’re in search of a high-energy and fun set. This group performs a mix of genres from various decades, so expect to know many of the songs!
