More than 1.26 million festivalgoers filled Bethlehem for 10 days and a preview night, with record-setting weekday crowds, sold-out headliners and record digital engagement

Despite challenging weather conditions during periods of the festival, Musikfest welcomed 1,260,630 attendees, marking the third-best attended festival in its 43-year history, broke weekday records and reached a new app milestone, demonstrating the enduring strength of the festival and its ability to draw visitors to Bethlehem from across the country and around the world.

  • 1,260,630 in attendance, from 46 states, Washington, DC and 3 countries (including Canada, Portugal, South Korea)

  • Record-setting Monday and Tuesday attendance with Monday up 6.2% over 2025 and Tuesday surpassing the previous record by 15.06%. Headlining performances from Train and “Weird Al” Yankovic, favorable weather and strong activity across the festival grounds helped fuel both banner days
  • A record 39,075 Musikfest App powered by PNC users, with the previous annual record surpassed by Wednesday of the festival—more than a week earlier than 2025.

“Welcoming more than 1.26 million people to Bethlehem over 10 days and 11 nights is an extraordinary reminder of the strength of Musikfest and the connection people have to this festival,” said Kassie Hilgert, President and CEO of ArtsQuest. “This year certainly tested everyone with stretches of heat and humidity and storms that temporarily interrupted programming, but our community continued to show up. That resilience is part of what makes Musikfest so special. We are incredibly grateful to our artists, volunteers, staff, sponsors, partners, public safety teams and every person who joined us this year. Even with a few weather challenges, more than a million people came together to experience music, food, art and community—and that is something worth celebrating.”

Across more than 50 acres, Musikfest offered festivalgoers countless ways to experience the ‘Fest, from live music spanning genres and generations to local and regional food, artisan and craft vendors, family activities, visual arts, comedy and more. With 15 free stages and the ticketed Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza, the festival once again transformed Bethlehem into an all-encompassing celebration of music, arts and community.

“Every summer, Musikfest puts Bethlehem on an international stage and gives more than a million visitors the opportunity to experience everything our city has to offer,” said Bethlehem Mayor J. William Reynolds. “From our Historic Moravian District to the SouthSide Arts District and SteelStacks, Musikfest connects our history, our culture, our businesses and our neighborhoods in a way few events can. We’re proud to once again welcome visitors from near and far and grateful to everyone who works together to make Musikfest such an important part of Bethlehem.”

The Music

The Wind Creek Steel Stage welcomed a diverse lineup of national acts with Grupo Niche, Russell Dickerson, John Mulaney, Third Eye Blind, Train, “Weird Al” Yankovic, T.I. with special guest DaBaby, Bailey Zimmerman, Parker McCollum, Yellowcard and Taking Back Sunday and AJR.

The Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza also welcomed local and regional talent to the stage as opening acts. Lilly Moss, a Bethlehem native, opened for Russell Dickerson ahead of her two sets at free stages on the North Side of the festival: the Institute for Moravian History and World Heritage and Moravian Church Settlements – Main Street stage and Yuengling Lagerplatz. TheRealZellyZel, an East Stroudsburg native and Kuf Knotz and Christine Elise, a Philadelphia based duo, opened for T.I. with special guest DaBaby. And Gillian Smith, a Mechanicsburg native, opened for Bailey Zimmerman.

This year’s free stage lineup featured more than 400 artists performing 500+ free musical performances across 15 stages. Thirty-four percent of these acts were homegrown talent from right here in the Lehigh Valley, while the remaining performers represented 20 different states as well as 10 countries including Canada, Colombia, the UK, Dominican Republic, South Korea, Germany, Finland, Mexico and Ireland. The result was a truly global mix of sounds and styles with local artists, national touring acts, multicultural performances, familiar favorites and emerging talent.

Some free stage highlights included Ryan Cabrera and The Verve Pipe at Air Products Americaplatz at Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks. Insun Park & Generals performed at both Air Products Americaplatz at Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks and the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America Zinzenplatz, and returning fan favorite The Amish Outlaws brought the house down at Service Electric Festplatz.

“One of the things we’re most proud of at Musikfest year after year is the opportunity to put local and emerging artists on stages alongside nationally and internationally recognized performers,” said Patrick Brogan, Chief Programming Officer at ArtsQuest. “Musikfest has always been about giving artists a stage and audiences the opportunity to find their next favorite performer, and this year’s lineup truly embodied that. This year, you could see a Lehigh Valley artist, discover a band from across the country or around the world, catch a longtime favorite and experience one of today’s biggest touring acts—all within the same festival.”

Economic and Community Impact

Musikfest’s impact extends beyond the stages, drawing visitors into Bethlehem’s neighborhoods, supporting local businesses and reinforcing the Lehigh Valley’s reputation as a destination for arts, culture and community celebration. Generating over $108.3 million in economic impact for Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley, Musikfest 2026 attracted more than 1 million visits over 10 days from across the U.S. and around the world. Nearly 40% of ArtsQuest programming remain free and accessible, ensuring the arts thrive for everyone while showcasing the region’s music, food and creativity.

The Food and Artisans/Crafters

Whether you were hungry, hunting for handmade works of art or ready to shop, Musikfest delivered with over 50 food vendors, 37 artisans and 9 retailers.  Joining fan favorites like Aw Shucks and Heaven on a Bun were new popular food vendors including Waffl’d and MoMos of Tibet in Air Products Americaplatz, Milk Train in Handwerkplatz sponsored by the ArtsQuest Creative Factory, Magnolia’s Soul and Spice and Gray’s Area Grill at the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America Zinzenplatz, Batch Microcreamery at PNC Stadtplatz and Homer’s Girls at the Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza. In addition, Handwerkplatz welcomed several new artisan vendors, including Alex N Crafts, KBWhite Farm and the Little Loops.

The Volunteers

Volunteers once again helped power Musikfest, supporting guests, artists, vendors and staff throughout the 10-day celebration while helping create the welcoming atmosphere that defines the festival. Upwards of 1,000 volunteers donated their time and talents this year, including 28 groups of local businesses and organizations.

“Musikfest simply wouldn’t be Musikfest without our volunteers,” said Cory Stevens, Volunteer Program Manager, ArtsQuest. “The impact they bring can be felt in every corner of the festival. They welcome our guests, support our artists and vendors, lend a hand wherever it’s needed and bring an incredible energy to the ‘Fest. We’re incredibly grateful for their dedication and for the pride they take in helping create the welcoming experience that keeps people coming back year after year.”

Sponsors and Activations/Media Partners

This year featured 180 sponsors, partners and activations throughout the festival grounds, engaging attendees through unique experiences and brand collaborations. Among the new partnerships was the Institute for Moravian History and World Heritage and Moravian Church Settlements–Bethlehem as presenting sponsor of Main Street, connecting Musikfest visitors with Bethlehem’s rich Moravian history and its distinction as part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Moravian Church Settlements. Other highlights included the ILOVENY campaign from the New York State Urban Development Authority (back for two weekends this year), Oreo Cakesters, alongside the return of fan favorites like the Monster BMX and the new Monster Virtual Racing Experience, the U.S. Army and more.

“Our sponsors and partners play an important role in shaping the personality of Musikfest and adding to the experiences people discover throughout the festival,” said Curt Mosel, Chief Operating Officer of ArtsQuest. “This year’s new partnership with the Institute for Moravian History and World Heritage and Moravian Church Settlements–Bethlehem was a great example of that. By supporting Main Street, they helped us connect the energy of Musikfest with the incredible history and cultural significance of the Historic Moravian District, while giving festivalgoers another opportunity to discover what makes Bethlehem such a remarkable destination. We’re incredibly grateful to them and to all 180 of our sponsors and partners whose support helps us continue evolving the Musikfest experience while keeping so much of the festival free and accessible to our community.”

The support of our media partners is essential in bringing Musikfest to audiences both near and far, Service Electric Network provided over 160 hours of comprehensive Musikfest coverage, allowing those who couldn’t attend in person to experience the festival from the comfort of their homes. Their broadcast helps extend the reach of Musikfest beyond Bethlehem, connecting the broader community to the excitement, performances and spirit of the event.

A big thank you goes to PNC for once again helping enhance the Musikfest experience through innovative tools, engaging activations and community-focused initiatives.

“Each year, Musikfest demonstrates that it is the best ‘fest while also putting the best foot forward for the Lehigh Valley,” said Annmarie Andrejko, PNC regional president for Northeast PA. “Supporting Musikfest as a presenting sponsor not only promotes the region’s economic strength but it is the most anticipated time of the year, bringing us together as a community and most importantly to have fun!”

Countess Communications contributed invaluable video coverage, capturing stunning visuals and dynamic perspectives that showcased the festival’s scale, energy and vibrant atmosphere. Together, these media partners help amplify Musikfest’s impact and celebrate the arts in innovative ways.

New and Fan Favorites at Musikfest

SoberPlatz – Returning for its second year, SoberPlatz in partnership with Sync Recovery Community, supported by Northampton County Council expanded its programming this year. The free, inclusive, alcohol-free space on the SouthSide offered guests a welcoming place to relax, enjoy food and mocktails purchased at the ‘Fest and take part in new interactive, creative and playful activities.

Activities included a SoberPlatz Kickoff Hour on preview night, community art, music, games, photo opportunities, recovery-focused resources and special events like the book signing with Mike Shooty and the visits with certified therapy dog Axel and his handler, Jutta.

“SoberPlatz is ultimately about belonging,” said Laura Waits, founder of Sync Recovery. “For a second year, we watched people come through the space to dance, create art, connect with others, spend time with family and friends or simply take a break and recharge. Some were part of the recovery community and some weren’t—and that’s exactly what makes the space so special. We want people to know that choosing an alcohol-free experience doesn’t mean sitting on the sidelines. You can be right in the middle of everything Musikfest has to offer, and we can’t thank ArtsQuest and Northampton County Council enough for helping us make that possible.”

The Musikfest Music Industry Conference presented by The Foundry Recording Studio, returned for its second year on August 2 – 4, bringing together 264 attendees for 40 sessions and presentations featuring industry insights, education and networking opportunities. The conference also featured two keynote speakers and a Band Showcase highlighting 10 bands, with performers ranging in age from 9 to 60+. The event’s continued growth would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and partners: Splice, PA Presenters, West Chester University’s Wells School of Music, Martin Guitar, PMEA, Museum of Music Technology (MMT), F Flat Books, Yamaha, Association of Popular Music Education (APME), D’Addario, Zildjian, Music Will and AKD Microphones.
