Veterans Day
ArtsQuest, along with partners Embassy Bank and Phoebe Ministries, will be hosting the annual Q&A panel for Veterans Day 2026 on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:00pm in the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas, located on the first floor of the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. The event will feature a panel discussion in which veterans will reflect about their time during and after the their service during the commemorative event’s annual question-and-answer panel, hosted by Chris Yarnell, Executive Director of Battle Borne.
After the panel, ArtsQuest will have a special free screening of the film “Flags of Our Fathers”. Based on the 2000 book of the same name written by James Bradley and Ron Powers about the 1945 Battle of Iwo Jima, this film tells the story the five Marines and one Navy corpsman who were involved in raising the flag on Iwo Jima, and the aftereffects of that event on their lives. Taken from the American viewpoint of the Battle of Iwo Jima, the film is a companion piece to Eastwood’s Letters from Iwo Jima, which depicts the same battle from the Japanese viewpoint; the two films were shot back-to-back. Rater R. Run time 2h15min.
The event will also be live streamed.
