Snowscapes Acrylic Painting Workshop

In this workshop, students will receive tips, techniques and guidance in painting snow scenes! Despite the appeal of a sunny day, atmospheric winter landscapes featuring fluffy hills of snow and frozen meandering creeks through are some of the most visually intriguing images to many viewers. In this workshop, students may either bring a winter scene image, or select one from instructor provided reference material, going on to receive guidance in how to visually organize their image, establish atmosphere, and execute a beautiful timeless snow scene that will leave viewers feeling cozy like there’s a cup of hot chocolate in their hands as they stare out the window on a snowy day!

Alexandra Schnabel

Alexandra Schnabel is a painter and art instructor who lives and works in Bucks County PA. Alexandra discovered her passion for oil painting at the Lehigh Valley Charter School for the Arts, and went on to earn her BFA from Pennsylvania Academy of The Fine Arts. She now enjoys creating artwork that explores the human condition and the variable emotional experience in response to the visual world, with themes that ponder the self and relationship with how we engage with the world around us. She frequently shows locally and enjoys engaging with the local art community, however she’s always looking forward to her next adventure in plein air painting, traveling, and collecting inspiration and experience with the visual world. She teaches a variety of community based classes locally as well as private lessons and creativity mentorship programs out of her home studio.
