Lehigh Valley Girls Rock presents Band Factory Showcase
Band Factory is a program of Lehigh Valley Girls Rock (LVGR), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering cisgender girls and women + trans and nonbinary folks through music and art.
Band Factory doubles as our biggest fundraiser to support our youth programs. Think of it like a 5k but cooler and with music! Folks sign up, we organize them into bands, and they write songs, raise money for LVGR to compete for prizes, and then play a big show! Along the way we offer mentorship and even lend instruments!
Each of the ten brand new bands debuting at the Showcase on 12/13 had nine weeks to create a 10-12 minute set of original music with maybe a cover thrown in for fun. Some of our participants have never even touched their instrument before joining! Along the way, the bands have competed to win cool prizes like band merch, photo shoots, and shopping sprees by raising the most money per person and securing the most donors per person in support of LVGR over three fundraising rounds. The grand prize is studio recording time and the big winners are announced showcase night! All proceeds from the showcase are added to our Band Factory grand total to benefit our programs.
Come to the showcase to support LVGR and cheer for our hardworking bands. Arrive early to shop their merch! We can’t wait to help them live their rock star dreams!
