Introduction to Photography: Telling Your Story Through the Lens
A beginner-friendly photography workshop that teaches participants how to use their camera (smartphone or DSLR) to capture compelling images. Students will learn composition, lighting, and visual storytelling principles through hands-on shooting exercises and guided critique. Whether you’re documenting family moments, building a creative portfolio, or creating content for a business, this class provides a practical foundation in photography and storytelling.
Carter McKinney
Carter McKinney is the Founder of McKinney Media LLC, a Bethlehem, Pennsylvania-based creative institution specializing in photography, video production, marketing, and media education. Since founding McKinney Media in 2021, Carter has built a contractor network of 20+ creatives and has served clients including Wind Creek Bethlehem, Morgan Stanley, B. Braun, the NAACP, and City Center Allentown. His work has been recognized by the U.S. Congress, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and the City of Bethlehem. Carter is also the Host and Executive Producer of The Entrepreneurs Club Podcast on WDIY 88.1 FM and serves on the board of Black Wall Street Lehigh Valley. He is passionate about using visual storytelling to amplify community voices and empower entrepreneurs.
