Intro to Woodworking
In this introductory course, students will become familiar with every major power tool in the workshop including table saw, miter saw, sanders (edge, spindle, and drum), brad nailers, jointer and planer while building your very own bird house. This class is meant to not only familiarize you with the equipment but also teach you the safety needed to operate each piece. Once this course is completed and your skills and safety techniques are proven, students will be able to advance to other courses as well as rent the makerspace to work on their own projects.
