First Impressions: A Holiday Speed Dating Experience
Come mix and mingle! First Impressions is not your typical speed dating experience; we encourage everybody to meet everybody, so whether you’re looking for love, friendship, new local connections, or just a fun experience, this could be the event for you!
Tickets to this event include admission to the speed dating event, one drink ticket, and access to a cash(less) bar*. Following the event, all guests are invited to stay and explore Christkindlmarkt, where they can stroll the aisles of handmade holiday creations, listening to live music and more. The holiday marketplace closes at 8pm.
At this event, participants will kick off the night by making their own calling cards to hand out to individuals they meet and hope to stay in touch with. We’ll have a few ice breaker games, then head right into speed dating. We’ll do two 15 minute rounds of “speed meeting” where you’ll be paired with a new partner (or a small group) every 2 minutes.
Rounds of speed dating will begin at 6:00 PM, but there will be activities beginning when doors open at 5:30pm, so we recommend arriving early if you want to get in on all the extra games! The night will end with 15min of open mingling for you to distribute your calling cards, and the option to venture through Christkindlmarkt in pairs, groups, or solo.
Please note:
Partners are matched at random. We do not pair up individuals based on gender, orientation, or age. We encourage participants to be as ready to make new friends as they are to make a romantic connection.
*Christkindlmarkt is Cashless!
Debit/Credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and ArtsQuest CashCard cards are the only forms of payment accepted for admission, food, beverages and official ArtsQuest merchandise. Participating artisans and retailers may choose to accept cash.
Patrons are able to convert cash into reloadable CashCards at the festival. The ArtsQuest CashCard is a cashless option for food and beverages that uses gift card technology for an easy payment process at all food, beverage, and official ArtsQuest merchandise retail locations.
