Across the globe, millions of puppy breeders and rescue shelters supply dogs responsibly. But beneath the surface lies a sinister world of abuse and exploitation. Dogspiracy follows British vet, author, and animal welfare campaigner Marc Abraham as he investigates the US puppy mill pipeline, canine fertility clinics and puppy smuggling.
In America and the UK, he meets decision-makers who have the power to change the law. But, he uncovers a conspiracy that prevents bipartisan laws from being passed. This leads to frustration and many more years of legalized abuse. Dogspiracy aims to empower the public into knowing how to do the right thing, despite the disappointment from our politicians.
“This gripping documentary digs deep into the murky world of puppy farming, pet smuggling, and the political inertia that allows it all to flourish.” -The Independent
“Dogspiracy effectively transforms the abstract concept of animal welfare into a visceral and unforgettable call for consumer consciousness.” -Gazettely
“An eye-opening documentary which puts a firm spotlight on the horrors dogs are placed through in breeding farms.” -Movie Reviews 101
