Clayton Mullen

Hailed as a “country star in the making” (The Boot Magazine) with “the tone, poise, and vocal chops of a seasoned country pro” (Wide Open Country), Clayton Mullen didn’t follow the typical path to Nashville – he made his own.

Born on the West Coast, raised on the East, Mullen didn’t discover his voice as a songwriter until he found himself in the heart of the Texas Music scene while attending TCU. What began with just a paper and pen in a beer-can-littered frat house quickly evolved into a journey down the highways of small-town America in an old ’06 E-350 van. Sharing the stage with the likes of Chris Lane, Corey Kent, Randall King and Josh Abbott Band, he was able to jump-start his music career before even graduating college. With a diploma in hand, he moved to Music City in 2023 and quickly established himself as one of Country music’s most exciting new voices.

Rooted in Country’s storytelling, Mullen has carved out a sound that lives somewhere between the radio and the back porch – authentic, grounded, and unmistakably his own. Last fall, he independently released his 13-track sophomore effort START AT THE END, which struck a chord and has amassed 25M+ streams to date.

With his newly released project VARSITY BLUES: OT, the 24-year-old singer/songwriter captures the highs and heartbreaks of young love, the sting of growing pains and the thrill of self-discovery. A time capsule of youthful nostalgia, the seven-track collection is Mullen’s “most personal work yet” and was “built on the kind of songs that stay with you long after high school fades” like standouts “Blue,” “Pocket Aces” and the title track. After providing direct support for Warren Zeiders, Vincent Mason and Logan Crosby on tour, Mullen recently joined Sam Hunt, Billy Currington, Randall King, Aaron Watson and Tyler Braden on select dates this summer.
