Ben Lapidus

Hey, I’m Ben Lapidus. I’m an LA-based songwriter, comedian & performer.

You might know me from social media, where I’ve been sharing musical comedy videos since 2021. You might know me as the Parmesan Cheese guy from America’s Got Talent, where I made history by failing so spectacularly that I succeeded in reversing a unanimous rejection by the judges and advancing to the semi-finals.

You might also know me as the guy demanding to know whether it’s “Pet Smart” or “Pet’s Mart.” Those videos have over 40 million views across my social channels and culminated with a full music video and a star-studded concert-rally in a PETSMART parking lot.

My debut album Deeper & Dumber brings together brutally honest pop punk earworms, hilarious metalcore anthems, absurdist pop-country bops, and so much more. This 22 song collection runs the gamut, but it’s held together by sincerity and a reckless sense of joy.

I also co-wrote a musical called Pop Punk High which was produced Off-Broadway and toured internationally through the Theater für Niedersachsen in Germany. We then adapted it into a musical podcast called Who Killed Avril Lavigne?
