Francisco Aguilar
Francisco Aguilar (Franny) is a filmmaker, photographer, television producer, film programmer, and curator with a passion for storytelling, cultural history, and creating meaningful connections through cinema. He currently serves as an Associate Producer at Greenleaf Productions and has worked across film, television, theater, and the arts. Since 2023, Francisco has programmed independent, repertory, and international cinema at ArtsQuest and is one of the curators of Cinema Significa, a film series dedicated to celebrating Latin American cinema and highlighting the diverse stories, histories, and voices of Latin American communities.
Previously, Francisco served as Lead Film Programmer at Civic Theatre of Allentown, where he curated film selections, developed programming initiatives, and connected audiences with a wide range of cinematic experiences. He has also contributed to regional film festivals as a Technical Coordinator, managing projection and festival operations for events including Seance Film Festival and 33 and Me Film Festival.
As a Dominican-Peruvian-American artist, Francisco’s work is deeply influenced by his interest in Latin American history, culture, and cinema. Through his programming and creative practice, he strives to amplify underrepresented voices, introduce audiences to new perspectives, and create spaces where film can inspire dialogue, understanding, and community.
