It’s hard to believe we’ve already made it to September and the final stretch of the season on the Highmark Community Stage! But don’t worry, we have a lineup of performances that will help us close out the season on a high note. From jazz and rock to post-punk and surf rock, there’s a little something for everyone! Bring your friends, pick a show (or two!) and join us as we soak up the last days of summer together!
Jazz Jam – September 3 (7 p.m.)
Hosted by The ARTISAN TRIO, all instrumentalists and vocalists are invited to share some songs with a top rhythm section. You don’t need to be a professional musician to participate, and whether you do straight jazz, blues, funk…let’s blend it all together!
Rock Steady – September 4 (9 p.m.)
Ted Donatelli (formerly of The Aardvarks), Steve Placotaris (Truth & Soul), and Lee LaBar (Hattrick) make up the trio Rock Steady. Covering rock and soft rock from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. America, Little River Band, Boston, Bee Gees… plus a good diet of AM Gold.
Open Mic Night – September 10 (7 p.m.)
The mic is yours! Come show us what you’ve got and sing your heart out. This weekly open mic features acoustic performances only, feel free to bring a djembe or box drum, but no full bands please. Signups begin at 8:30 P.M.
Zaire – September 11 (9 p.m.)
Zaire has been playing the Lehigh Valley area since 2009. They specialize in classic rock with strong 3-part harmonies. Zaire’s vast catalog of songs ranges from The Killers, Radiohead, and Tom Petty back to The Beatles, The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The Dracu-las – September 12 (6:30 p.m.)
Based in Jersey City, The Dracu-Las bring a harmony-driven take on garage rock ‘n’ roll, blending elements of punk, power pop, surf, psych, post-punk and ’60s girl groups. Formed in 2021, the four-piece has released the Fever Dream EP along with two 7-inch records, most recently I’m Blue on Outro Records.
The Great White Caps – September 12 (9 p.m.)
Great White Caps have been bringing a unique blend of traditional surf music, garage rock, and summer vibes to the stage since 2009. With their brains hardwired to have a good time wherever they go, GWC has been converting music lovers to dive in to what they call BEACH ROCK!
