ArtsQuest Launches Free Friday Concert Series at Union Terrace Amphitheater in Partnership with the City of Allentown

Bethlehem, Lehigh Valley, PA., May 19, 2025- ArtsQuest, in partnership with the City of Allentown, is thrilled to announce ArtsQuest’s Friday Concerts at Union Terrace Amphitheater, presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network part of Jefferson Health, the official Health Care Partner of the ArtsQuest SteelStacks Campus, a new summer concert series designed to bring music and community together in the heart of Allentown.

This free, family-friendly concert series invites all residents of Allentown, especially those in the Union Terrace Park neighborhood, as well as visitors from across the Lehigh Valley, to enjoy live music in a relaxed, neighborhood-style atmosphere. All concerts will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

 Here’s the exciting musical line-up for The Friday Concerts at Union Terrace Amphitheater:

  • Friday, June 13: Funk & Reggae – In partnership with Movement Moves Media and hosted by Chana with BezMusiq
    • G.O.E. Troupe
      • Blending genres and faith, this Lehigh Valley-based band curates uplifting, authentic vibes with musical chemistry, playing for artists among the gospel and mainstream communities.
    • Cosmic Soul Collective
      • Lehigh Valley-based musicians fusing together multiple genres into a huge cosmic sound, inspired by R&B, hip-hop and jazz.
    • Philadelphia Funk Authority
      • The area’s hottest dance and party band, they provide the best in high-energy dance and party entertainment.
  • Friday, July 11: Latin-Merengue – In partnership with La Mega Radio
    • Mako Swing with special guest La Tribù Del EsteThe Louis E. Dieruff Latin Ensemble
      • A modern Merengue group bringing live music to all of PA, since 2018.
      • A student musical group with deep roots in the community, this ensemble brings together current students, alumni and local musicians celebrating the rich musical traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Friday, August 22: Billy Joel Tribute
    • We May Be Right
      • Powerhouse ensemble that delivers an electrifying performance, authentically re-creating the music of one of the greatest rock and roll keyboard players, Billy Joel.
  • Friday, September 12: Classic Rock
    • Orleans with special guest DMC DUO
      • The pop/rock band that continues to bring 70s classic hits for five decades. Special guest DMC DUO performs a variety of acoustic rock, pop and country covers and originals.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with the City of Allentown to bring the ArtsQuest Friday Concerts to Union Terrace Amphitheater,” said Patrick Brogan, ArtsQuest Chief Programming Officer. “This new series is all about celebrating community, creating shared experiences through live music and bringing people together.”

In addition to music, there will be several food options including Taco Town and La Frikitona, with more forthcoming.

General street parking can be found on Union Street and Walnut Street with a parking lot on S. St. Elmo Street; ADA parking lot near the corner of Walnut and S. St. Elmo Streets; and Circle, Steel and Platinum ArtsQuest Members will have access to a parking lot on S. St. Elmo Street.
