Improv Gym

Looking to strengthen your improv muscles? Hoping to get some reps in between Improv classes or before Improv House Team auditions? Then this is the class for you! In this 4-class series improvisors will be lead through one hour of various warmups, games, and scenes to sharpen their skills. While each class will be unique, and attendance at all 4 classes in encouraged, these classes are being offered at $10 per class, so if you have to miss a week, or can only make one or two, have no fear, you’ll only pay for the classes you attend. So, whether you’re a seasoned improvisor who wants to revisit the foundations of improv, or an improv student looking for some extra coaching, leave the dumbbells at home and join the Improv Gym!

  • Must have level 1 experience or higher.
  • Students must be 18+ by the first day of class

Addyson Young

Addyson Young is a multi-faceted Bethlehem-based performer, instructor, and producer/director. Serving as Programming Specialist at ArtsQuest and Director of the SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival, she has directed productions of A Golden Girls Drag Show, Lip Sync Battle, and I’m Probably Reading Into This, the latter being a game show that she devised and hosts. You can also see her onstage as the co-host of Improvised Standup at the ArtsQuest Center or with her improv team Synced Up.

She’s studied improv and standup at Magnet Theatre, ArtsQuest, Temple University, and Good Good Comedy Theater. Addyson has taught team building workshops to many of the Lehigh Valley’s biggest companies, including Crayola and Just Born, as well as improv workshops geared specifically towards caregivers of people living with Dementia. When Addyson isn’t working to make laughter happen, she’s onstage playing the fiddle with her Celtic band Fig for a Kiss, who just released their new LP, Wherever You Go.
