A huge thank you to all our Levitt volunteers! This season has certainly brought its share of challenges, including rainy days, wildfire smoke, extreme temperatures, and more relocations to the Musikfest Café than I can ever remember. And of course, we can’t forget the odd start times and schedule shake-ups thanks to SoccerFest taking over campus this summer. Between the crowds and the general SoccerFest madness, it has made for a season that has been anything but boring! Through it all, you have continued to show up, support the concerts, and keep the spirit of Levitt alive.
I should also add that there is no truth to the rumors that our very own Cory Stevens, the new Executive Director of Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks, is responsible for any or all of these extreme conditions. That said, for next year I’ve been considering buying him a hex sign to carry around to ward off the bad-weather energy.
So far this season, 87 different volunteers have given their time, including 11 House Managers and two new House Manager shadows. As we take a short break during Musikfest, we are hoping for great weather and a strong finish to the year back out on the lawn.
