Last week, a group of ArtsQuest volunteers gathered at Coca-Cola Park to cheer on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs as they took on the Worcester Red Sox. Volunteer Program Coordinator Michael Koehler (former recreational league softball player) had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch on behalf of the group. Unfortunately, all the group missed the pitch, but by all accounts, the pitch reached the plate without bouncing. The new ABS system introduced across baseball this year may have called it a ball, but Michael was just happy to avoid embarrassing himself. A big thank you to Robin Sherrerd for organizing the outing and to the IronPigs staff for their hospitality. We hope to be back again soon!
