Hello everyone!
My name is Santos Martinez and I’m a 22-year-old from Bethlehem. I grew up with a big family with 3 siblings, and some of my favorite memories have always centered around the community and events that make Bethlehem special. One of the biggest parts of my life has been Musikfest! Ever since I was young, Musikfest has been a tradition for my family, bringing us together every August and creating memories that have stayed with me throughout my life.
For five years, I helped work at my uncle’s stand, Hogar Crea, during Musikfest, where I learned the value of how food brings the community together. I have also spent five seasons with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, including three of those seasons as a mascot performer and community relations associate. Those experiences helped me grow my communication, community engagement, and event experiences, while connecting with so many people in the Lehigh Valley community and beyond. I’m excited to join ArtsQuest as the community engagement intern and look forward to giving back to the very community that has meant so much to me throughout my life and the city I call home!
