This month we’re excited to spotlight Lynnette Saeger! Lynnette has been with us for over a decade, starting all the way back with ticket booth shifts at Musikfest. She’s been an Ambassador since 2022, a Musikfest and Christkindlmarkt Site Supervisor since 2023, and most recently stepped into the House Manager role for Levitt Pavilion events. She’s highly regarded by her fellow volunteers and is always ready to jump in and help however she can. We’re incredibly grateful to have Lynnette as a part of our volunteer team. Thank you for all your time, energy, and support over the years, and here’s to many more!
What’s your favorite memory or a fun story you experienced while volunteering at ArtsQuest?
When Musikfest reopened after Covid, I was volunteering at Zinzenplatz with Dale & Georgia Traupman among others. Dale was the Site Super and as we chatted, I casually asked him how folks become Site Supervisors because I was curious. Dale grabbed his phone and called Cory immediately. I could imagine Cory saying, “You’ve got a live one! I’ll be right there!”, because he was at Zinzenplatz within 5 minutes explaining the Ambassador program to me. He was very persuasive and the rest is history! No regrets! I LOVE volunteering, enjoy being a Site Super, and like meeting and working with all the other wonderful volunteers and staff!
What are some fun activities or hobbies you enjoy outside of volunteering?
Now that I’m (mostly) retired, I love spending time with family, especially my energetic grandchildren! I also enjoy gardening, reading, watercolor, Zentangle drawing, sewing and other crafts, traveling, and becoming more involved at my church.
If you could pick any musical act to play at Musikfest 2025, who would you pick and why?
If I could pick any musical act to play at Musikfest, I would choose Neil Diamond. When he was in good health and still touring, I was fortunate to see him live in concert on three separate occasions. I still listen to his music and consider him a classic!
