Maniya: Covered in Soul hosted by Rudy Rush
Maniya: Covered in Soul is an intimate, electrifying live experience that reimagines classic R&B, pop, and soul favorites through Maniya’s signature neo-soul lens. Backed by her full band and background vocalists, Maniya takes audiences on a soulful journey — blending nostalgia, innovation, and raw emotion into one unforgettable night. From iconic hits to modern favorites, each song is transformed with fresh arrangements, rich harmonies, and the kind of vocal storytelling that leaves you both comforted and captivated. Drawing from her deep roots in gospel, R&B, and contemporary soul, Maniya delivers a performance that feels both deeply personal and universally powerful. This is more than a concert. It’s a celebration of love, memory, music, and connection — covered in soul.
Maniya is a New York–born R&B and neo-soul artist whose voice blends crisp contemporary vocals with timeless melodies, rich tone, and emotional depth. A gifted performer from childhood, she earned the nickname “Songbird” for her natural musical instincts and powerful vocal presence. She began singing professionally at age 13 with the Emmy Award-winning Gospel for Teens Choir in Harlem, later touring and performing background vocals for top Pop and R&B artists on major stages worldwide. Maniya went on to receive an unprecedented scholarship to Berklee College of Music, where she earned her degree in Vocal Performance, further refining her artistry and purpose. In 2024, Maniya completed a major tour with indie-pop sensation TV Girl, performing to sold-out crowds across the U.S. and Europe. She recently released her single “Curious,” the lead track from her upcoming EP Dear Diary, which sits at the intersection of classic R&B and modern neo-soul. Today, Maniya is recognized not only as a rising recording artist but also as a highly sought-after vocal coach, inspiring the next generation of singers while continuing to carve her own powerful lane in music.
