Lehigh Valley Health Network part of Jefferson Health Turn & Grind

The Turn & Grind, a 150-year-old building nestled beside the iconic SteelStacks and behind the Bethlehem Visitors Center, was once a critical part of the Bethlehem Steel Tool Division, was used to “turn and grind” steel beams to create more durable and finely polished surfaces for naval ships and the Chrysler Building.
In 2027, this 26,000-square-foot industrial-style venue will be transformed into the Lehigh Valley Health Network part of Jefferson Health Turn & Grind Shop and will re-open as much-needed, expanded space for annual festivals, community events, national touring exhibits and private gatherings.
Pictured here is the ultimate “before” photo, taken before any redevelopment of the SteelStacks campus had begun.
