Working behind the scenes at Musikfest affords me the somewhat-unique perspective of getting to eat all my meals at the ‘fest for 10-days straight. It’s admittedly one of my favorite things in life, so you can imagine I was thrilled that our friends at PNC Bank green-lit yet another season of “MusikFEAST,” the series in which I eat my way across the festival.

Musikfest is Cashless!

The ‘fest is now cashless!

Debit/Credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and ArtsQuest CashCard cards are the only forms of payment accepted for food, beverages and official ‘fest merch at Musikfest.

To be inclusive for all, patrons are able to convert cash into recyclable and reloadable CashCards at several locations throughout the festival. The ArtsQuest CashCard is a cashless option for food and beverages that uses gift card technology for an easy payment process at all food, beverage, and Official Musikfest Merchandise retail locations.

What's an ArtsQuest CashCard?

Debit/Credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and ArtsQuest CashCard cards are the only forms of payment accepted for food, beverages and official ‘fest merch at Musikfest.

How do they work?

If festival goers only have cash, they can covert that cash to a CashCard.

As you make purchases with vendors the cash is deducted from the balance on the card.

At every location you can see the amount deducted and the amount left on your card on your receipt. You can check the balance left on your card by looking at your receipt after every purchase, by scanning the QR code on the back of your card, by visiting this page or by asking anyone at any CashCard Reload Booth.

If you deplete the balance on your CashCard you can always add more cash to your card balance at the ArtsQuest CashCard Reload Booths.

How do I get one at the 'fest?

Purchase at any official CashCard Booth across the Musikfest grounds, with locations at Service Electric Festplatz, Martin Guitar Handwerkplatz, Main Street, Plaza Tropical, ArtsQuest Center Box Office, and the Wind Creek Steel Stage

PLEASE NOTE: Exact change is required when purchasing with cash.

Where can I use my ArtsQuest CashCard?

ArtsQuest CashCards are redeemable at ALL official ArtsQuest food, beverage, merchandise and box office locations, including inside the Wind Creek Steel Stage.

They’re also usable at other ArtsQuest events — CashCards do not expire!

How do I reload my card?

Reload your ArtsQuest CashCard at any official CashCard Booth during the festival
Visit the ArtsQuest Box Office in the ArtsQuest Center, year-round to add value anytime
Check your balance anytime by scanning the QR code on the back of your card

Do I need one?

NO! You do NOT need to get an ArtsQuest CashCard if you already have a credit or debit card. If you have a debit or credit card you can go directly to your favorite Official Musikfest food vendor or beverage stand and official Musikfest merchandise location to make your purchase.

Do I still need to bring cash?

NO! Since credit and debit cards are accepted everywhere on the festival grounds, you do not need to bring cash with you.

Are there any fees?

No. There are no fees associated with the ArtsQuest CashCard.

Can families use the same card?

Yes, the same CashCard can be shared by family members, or cash can be converted to multiple cards for individual family members.

Where can I recycle my card?

Recycle bins will be located throughout the festival at all CashCard booth locations on the northside. We encourage everyone to recycle their CashCards when they have finished using them.
