“I think our partnership with ArtsQuest has really highlighted the positive impact arts and culture can have on a community. And it has only strengthened our resolve to support the arts, not only in the Lehigh Valley but all around the world.”

Mike Nelson, Vice President of Marketing at Martin Guitar

“In everything we do we either want to help artists, inspire artists or celebrate artists,” said Mike Nelson, Vice President of Marketing at Martin Guitar. “So, when the opportunity to sponsor a recording studio presented itself, we jumped at the chance. Because what better way to help and inspire artists than to provide an outlet for their creativity and a way to bring their creative ideas to life?”

The Martin Guitar Recording Studio, which will be located in the new ArtsQuest Creative Factory powered by PPL, will be a state-of-the-art facility that encourages collaboration and teamwork and allows the creative community of the Lehigh Valley to bring their ideas and melodies to life. Martin Guitar’s purpose is to “unleash the artist within and help lift artists throughout their creative journey.” This recording studio will open up a world of possibilities and create a place “where artists can see their dreams become a reality.” As a company bred in collaboration and innovation, Martin Guitar has found that creativity breeds creativity and, with this recording studio, they hope to foster and inspire the creatives within our community.

“I think our partnership with ArtsQuest has really highlighted the positive impact arts and culture can have on a community,” states Nelson. “And it has only strengthened our resolve to support the arts, not only in the Lehigh Valley but all around the world.”

Because access and distribution are the two biggest contributors to changes in the music landscape, it has become easier for artists to promote their work and reach a wider audience. The world-class recording equipment in the Martin Guitar Recording Studio will help local talent put their best foot forward when they do put their music out into the world. “How a piece of music is recorded can be just as important as the talent of the musicians when it comes to commercial success,” explains Nelson. “And when young people see local musicians having commercial success, it will inspire them to follow their dreams.”

As a nonprofit focused on bringing access to the arts to all, ArtsQuest is beyond excited to be able to partner with Martin Guitar in order to provide the community with a Creative Factory like nothing that’s been seen before. Providing local musicians with the means to bring their ideas to life will be an incredible tool that will open doors for growing local musicians and their talent.

“A recording studio is a place for creative minds to come together. It’s like a canvas for musical artists. But what I love about recording studios is that they require teamwork. The sound technicians and the artists must all work together to make beautiful music. And through that collaboration, new ideas are born, and like a snowball, the creative community grows.”
