ArtsQuest is proud to work with artists at all points in their careers! On December 21st, we are welcoming fifteen emerging regional artists at the Pop-Up Artist Market at Christkindlmarkt.

Former steelworkers or guides trained by steelworkers will lead sidewalk and Hoover-Mason Trestle tours through the Bethlehem Steel plant site. The tours, conducted in partnership with the National Museum of Industrial History (NMIH), are held rain or shine and leave from the lobby inside NMIH, 602 E. Second Street, Bethlehem. The guides will take guests on a multi-faceted journey – from the evolution of iron making in the Lehigh Valley to the history of the Bethlehem Plant from its opening to closing, including its importance in World Wars I and II. Along the way, guests will learn about the remaining buildings on the plant site, life in the ethnic neighborhoods surrounding the plant, and what life was like working at the plant. The 1+ hour tour concludes with a question and answer session.

This workshop takes place in the craft area of the St. Nickolaus Haus. The Makerspace at the Creative Factory is excited to present its first woodworking experience! Using a scroll saw, you will create a three dimensional figure from a block of wood, with the option to decorate with paint markers once complete. You can choose to make a reindeer, Christmas tree, ornament, or snowman! Sessions start every 30 minutes, but plan extra time for finishing steps like sanding and painting your reindeer. A great family activity! This ticket comes with admission for one to Christkindlmarkt.

ArtsQuest Glass Studio returns with a new Hot Glass Experience... The Bubble Bowl! At Christkindlmarkt presented by Univest Financial, ArtsQuest Glass offers Hot Glass Experiences, located in the new Winter Wonderland presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network part of Jefferson Health. Work one-on-one with a hot glass instructor to create your own piece of art from molten glass.

Your ticket gets you admission into Christkindlmarkt; the Old Fashioned Christmas tasting session presented by Ryan Umholtz, Area Manager at EDRINGTON; a voucher for a full Brugal 1888 Espresso Martini cocktail from Christkindlmarkt’s Essen Haus bar*; and a delicious meal provided by Levy Restaurant Executive Chef Julie Marble.
