As the holidays approach, Clark Griswold (Chase) wants to have a perfect family Christmas, so he pesters his wife, Ellen (D'Angelo), and children, as he tries to make sure everything is in line, including the tree and house decorations. However, things go awry quickly.

George Bailey is a small-town man whose life seems so desperate he contemplates suicide. He had always wanted to leave Bedford Falls to see the world, but circumstances and his own good heart have led him to stay. He sacrificed his education for his brother's, kept the family-run savings and loan afloat, protected the town from the avarice of the greedy banker Mr. Potter, and married his childhood sweetheart.

Based on the long-running comic strip created by E.C. Segar (and less on the animated cartoons created by Max Fleischer, which were decidedly different in tone and approach), Popeye follows the sailor man with the mighty arms as he arrives in the seaside community of Sweethaven in search of his long-lost father.

This screening will feature an in-person extended introduction and Q&A with actress Ellen Latzen (Ruby Sue Johnson) before the film.
