SteelStacks High School Jazz Band Showcase presented by KingSpry
The fourteenth annual SteelStacks High School Jazz Band Showcase presented by KingSpry will feature 26 bands and be held over five events in February and March at the Musikfest Cafe.
Tickets for the preliminary rounds are $7 plus fees and on sale at www.artsquest.org and 610-332-3378.
Scholastic jazz groups from Pennsylvania and New Jersey will perform in front of a live audience and a judging panel comprised of music educators. Preliminaries are set for 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 22nd and Sunday, March 8th. Finals will be held on Sunday, March 29th at 2:00 PM.
The competition is a music-in-education program of ArtsQuest and the Moravian University Music Department’s Jazz Studies Program.
