Fanciful handmade items specializing in fiber, wood, and paper arts. I enjoy working in lots of different media, and most frequently use wool, paper, and wood through techniques including origami, needle felting, and laser cutting. Although my work tends to follow whatever path catches my imagination, a few common themes tend to show up frequently. Insects, animals both real & fanciful, and celtic knots all make regular appearances. I also teach classes & workshops with ArtsQuest, NCC, and Bloomery Art, where people can try out new art techniques and develop their own creativity.
  • FountainWood Studio

    Instagram: @fountainwoodstudio
FountainWood Studio is the printmaking practice of artist Karen Rauppius, featuring hand-carved, hand-printed linocuts inspired by nature, memory, and the small delights of everyday life. Each design begins as an original illustration, then is carefully carved into a block, inked, and printed. This is slow art, rooted in centuries of tradition—no mass production. Every print is part of a limited edition and slightly unique due to the hand-made nature of linocut.

Hi, I’m Melissa with Melissa Jacklyn & Co. My jewelry making and metalsmithing journey began in high school at Allen in the late 90s. However, for many years I focused on other forms of art such as photography and watercolor. In 2024, I started taking classes at a local art school and rekindled my love for metalsmithing. Soon after, I set up a home studio and opened Melissa Jacklyn & Co. I work mostly in sterling silver with some copper, brass and bronze mixed in. I would describe my work as simple and a little dainty, with the occasional statement piece.
