Marketing Musikfest
Marketing Musikfest is a 10-week hands-on program for high school students at Bethlehem’s Liberty and Freedom High Schools-in partnership with the Bethlehem Area School District-and Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts, through its Literary Arts program. Students learn the start-to-finish details about putting a performer on stage at Musikfest- because they actually do it all!
Students work directly with ArtsQuest professionals to bring classroom business concepts to life by booking and promoting bands for Musikfest’s Plaza Tropical stage. Throughout the program, participants gain valuable real-world experience in budgeting, concert promotion, marketing and public relations while making a meaningful impact in their community. The course culminates in a press conference where students announce the artist(s) lineup selected to play at Musikfest. The students then get to see the musicians they’ve selected perform at the Plaza Tropical stage during Musikfest.
From concept to reality, students have hands-on involvement in everything involved in planning, booking, promoting, and then watching musicians at Musikfest.
