The Next Generation of Jazz Shines as ArtsQuest Hosts the 14th Annual SteelStacks High School Jazz Band Showcase

Bethlehem, Lehigh Valley, PA. January 29, 2026 – ArtsQuest, in partnership with Moravian University, is hosting the 14th annual SteelStacks High School Jazz Band Showcase presented by King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul, LLC. Featuring 26 bands, the showcase will be held over five events in February and March at the Musikfest Café.

“We’re thrilled to team up with ArtsQuest again this year to present the High School Jazz Showcase,” said Matthew Tranter, Deputy Managing Partner at KingSpry and board member of Friends of Levitt Pavilion. “Not only is KingSpry proud to support community organizations like ArtsQuest, but we also love celebrating these remarkable students as they take the stage.”

The competition is a music-in-education program of ArtsQuest and the Moravian University Music Department’s Jazz Studies Program. Live audiences can enjoy performances from scholastic jazz groups from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Performances will also be performed in front of a judging panel comprised of music educators.

Preliminaries are set for 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 22 and Sunday, March 8. Finals will be held on March 29 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at artsquest.org or in person.* Broadcast partner, Service Electric, will be on-site to record both preliminary showcases, allowing families and schools to re-watch performances at a later date.
