July 2020 Volunteer Committee Spotlight

Our Volunteer Committee is made up of some of the strongest leaders within our volunteer program. This committee helps the volunteer staff make decisions, bring feedback about events, and create new ways of making procedure better for the future. We’d love for you to get to know these leaders before the next Musikfest, so each month we’ll spotlight a few members for you!

Q: What inspired you to begin volunteering?
A: Wind Creek Bethlehem—formerly Sands Bethlehem—has partnered with ArtsQuest for nearly a decade. Because of this partnership, I have attended various events throughout the years. Eventually, I found myself inspired to volunteer at several events on my own time.

Q: What’s your favorite event to volunteer for?
A: Without a doubt, Musikfest. Ten days of food, vendors and of course, music, is always something I look forward to.

Q: When you’re not volunteering for ArtsQuest, what do you like to do in your spare time?
A: I love to spend time in the yard, reading, and hanging out with family and friends.

Q: If you could bring any artist to Musikfest, who would it be and why?
A: Billy Joel. I believe his music captures the ears and hearts of the masses.

Q: What do you enjoy most about serving on the Volunteer Committee?
A: I’m able to learn about upcoming events which allows me to communicate and coordinate both corporate and Team Member volunteer involvement.

Q: What inspired you to begin volunteering?
A: I’ve always been fond of many ArtsQuest events and what they mean to our community. I first started volunteering with my mom and saw just how fun and rewarding volunteering with ArtsQuest is!

Q: What’s your favorite event to volunteer for?
A: Definitely MusikFest! My favorite 10 days of the year.

Q: When you’re not volunteering for ArtsQuest, what do you like to do in your spare time?
A: I’m a big Philly sports fan, especially Flyers hockey! I try to go to as many live sporting events as possible, when I’m not attending in person I’m home watching. I’m also the volunteer day chair for a non-profit in Minnesota, I love traveling and taking the volunteer show on the road!

Q: If you could bring any artist to Musikfest, who would it be and why?
A: Drake or Ed Sheeran, it’s an even tie for dream Fest concert!

Q: What do you enjoy most about serving on the Volunteer Committee?
A: Being able to be a voice for our volunteers, they really are the backbone of the organization!
