Bethlehem’s founding Moravians loved music. Many of the works of classical composers were first performed in the New World in Bethlehem by the Moravians whose most important possessions were the musical instruments they brought with them. Many are on display at the Moravian Museum. Contemporary Bethlehem reflects this long standing passion for music with the offering of over 1,000 live music concerts (excluding weekly religious services) at diverse music venues throughout the city.
