Stanford computer-science graduate turned singer-songwriter Vienna Teng hit the California music scene after opting out of a lucrative career in the Silicon Valley. Classically trained on the piano since age 5, the Taiwanese American reached the national spotlight at the end of 2002 when she made appearances on numerous late night shows and opened concerts for musicians such as India.Arie, Shawn Colvin and Sarah Harmer. Her first album, Walking Hour, peaked at No. 5 on Amazon.com. She has gone on to produce four albums including Warm Strangers, which charted on three separate Billboard charts.
