"Jill Knapp and Matt Casarino first bonded in 2002 over a shared love of hopelessly outdated 16K com-puters and dorky wordplay. They started making mu-sic a few months later. It sounded good. Really good. HOT BREAKFAST! was born.

With a penchant for unexpected covers (“Total Eclipse of the Heart,” a stripped-and-slow take on Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark,” and “Heaven On Their Minds” from Jesus Christ Superstar) and hard-rockin’ & funny originals, HOT BREAKFAST! is no background-music act. Matt and Jill demand your attention with stunning vocals, furious guitar work, snappy percussion, attention to grammar and punctuation, and their disturbingly attractive bodies – no wonder they are renowned as Delaware’s Premier Acoustic Dork-Rock Power Duo.

Hot Breakfast! has already played sold out shows at the Shubin Theatre (Philly), World Cafe Live, The Baby Grand (Wilmington, Delaware), The New Candlelight Theatre (Arden, Delaware), and The Kennett Flash (Kennett Square, PA). They’ve also played at a gazillion other neat places, such as The Lost Penguin (Black Rock City/Burning Man, Nevada), countless house concerts in Delaware, Texas, Arizona, and California, and the Tin Angel in Philadelphia… and they don’t feel the least bit bad about it.

Sure they could brag about all the fantastic bands they’ve gigged with (Jill vocalizes with LA’s Industrial Jazz Group, Matt jams with Mary Arden Collins, they both occasionally augment the Joe Trainor Trio with vocals, guitars, saxes, and percussion), but that’s not their style.
